       Obituary - Margaret McWilliams

The funeral Service for our former Campaigner Chief and dear sister, Margaret McWilliams, took place on Monday 1st November 2010. Margaret had developed a very serious illness and, after only a five week period in the Marie Curie Hospice, where she witnessed well for her Lord, went into His presence on Thursday 28th October 2010

Pastor Sam Carson outlined the setting - up of Campaigners in Newtownards Baptist Church in 1973 at the time which coincided with the commencement of his term as its Pastor.
The McWillliams family had just moved from Belfast to Newtownards that year and Margaret was very keen to work with, and for, children. She commenced in the Sunday School and then trained as a Chief in our Campaigners and served along with Mrs Davidson for almost 20 years in the Girl Craftsmen Clan.
While we rejoice that Margaret is 'at home' with her Lord we miss her great input to the lives of all who knew her.
Moving tributes were paid to her, at the Service, by Pastors Wesley Crawford and Sam Carson.
In closing, Pastor Carson brought a brief message on some of the Secrets of Psalm 23.   The secret of a happy life. v;1; the secret of a happy death. v  4,   and the secret of a happy eternity. v. 6.

We were very pleased that Mr and Mrs McClelland were able to join us at the Funeral Service.

Messages of Sympathy may be sent to her brother and sister-in-law, Cecil and Avril McWilliams, at 20 Perry Road, Bangor, Co. Down.Bt19 6UA
