My time at Campaigners

I joined Campaigners when I was a little girl of three years of age. Each week at Eagles I enjoyed listening to the Bible stories for Clan C and taking part in the fun activities. I remember feeling very excited when I got a step coloured in on my badge. After three years at Eagles I had completed my eight steps and was ready to move on to Junos.

I also remember feeling so grown up when I moved to Junos because I was able to join in with the older children and do more challenging activities such as First Aid and Road Safety. I was very fortunate in that I knew about Jesus from a young age and Campaigners gave me the chance to grow in my faith. I became a Christian when I was five years old. Although I was very young I knew that I needed to repent of my sin, ask Jesus to forgive me of my sins and to help me to live a life pleasing to Him.

During my time at Campaigners I remember going away on camps each year. I thoroughly enjoyed the camps, not only were they great fun, but we also learnt memory verses and Bible stories. We enjoyed camps at Cultra, Enniskillen and Portrush, where we combined recreational activities with Bible Study and 3Gs. The leaders encouraged us to discuss and share our thoughts with them.

As I grew older I enjoyed the company of other Clansmen and I built up some great friendships, not just with the other young people but also with the Chiefs. It was great to share my faith with other people of my own age and I think it is very important to have good Christian friends.

I have really enjoyed my years in Campaigners and I would like to thank all of the Chiefs who have helped and encouraged me throughout those years. I am very grateful to them for everything.

I am now a Clan Helper with the mixed Junos group in our Clan at Limavady Baptist Church.
